Statement of Faith

God: The eternal God is one and exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

The Bible: The Scriptures, which consist of the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, are the inspired word of God. They constitute our final authority for faith and life.

God's Plan of Salvation: All men are sinners and, therefore, subject to eternal punishment in hell. However, God offers forgiveness of sins and salvation through faith in the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross. There is no other way to escape God's righteous wrath.

Christ: Jesus Christ is true God and true man. As God he has always existed, but he became a man when he was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit. He was born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died on the cross as a sacrifice for sin, and rose from the dead on the third day. He is now seated at the right hand of the Father and will come again to judge the living and the dead.

The Church: The church has been appointed by God to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and make disciples. God has also commanded believers to meet regularly, to celebrate the Lord's Supper, and to be baptized. Those who fall into serious sin and do not repent are to be cast out of the fellowship.
